Vice President of Quality - NURSE: QI / RISK MANAGEMENT

VP OF QUALITY

SUMMARY:

Overall responsibility for managing the Quality & Risk Management Departments as well as the direction of the Medical Staff Office and encompasses Medical Staff Peer Review, organization-wide Quality Management & Performance Improvement, Risk-Claims Management, Patient Relations, Infection Control, and regulatory requirements (CMS, JCAHO, AHCA, Safe Medical Devices, CDC, etc.), including monitoring for ongoing standards/regulatory compliance-reporting and coordination of continuous JCAHO readiness. Serves as a resource to Case Management in monitoring and analysis of resource utilization review of utilization management. Serves as the organizational liaison to the Quality Services Department of Catholic Health East.

Credential Requirements:

Certified Professional for Healthcare Quality ("CPHQ") certification with the National Association for Healthcare Quality desired.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration or other relevant field required; Masters Degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum seven years relevant quality improvement and management experience in a similarly sized healthcare system or acute care hospital, with three years in a leadership role required. Knowledge in CQI methodology and proven experience working with the Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and the Florida Agency for Helathcare Administration regulations and standards.
