Summary: A Senior Tester who will be involved in all phases of strategic projects identifying, documenting, preparing, executing and implementing testing strategies for small, medium and large-scale applications by evaluating the business and technical requirements. Perform manual testing for software changes originating from upgrades and new software development for all IT applications, throughout the SDLC including (but not limited) to Functional testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Interface and Batch testing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure enterprise applications meet the functional, business and system requirements - Assist in the design, development, test and test related deliverables for system enhancements and new production releases - Applies knowledge and experience with technology and application development/testing methodologies to devise test plans, test strategies, test cases/scripts, execute those scripts and log defects - Ability to prioritize tasks to best meets departmental and organizational goals - Work with cross-functional teams to identify technology modifications that will impact the business or end users - Establish reusable functional and regression test scripts - Coordinate onshore and/or offshore testing resources and ensure their test cases are correct and have the appropriate application coverage - Prepare detailed white box and black box test plans, test cases, status reports, defect reports and regression testing strategies - Manage and lead the team to meet project milestones and maintain application quality - Maintain confidentiality with regard to information and data being processed, stored or accessed - Mentor junior testers in procedures and best-practice for all testing areas - Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education: Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience
Experience: 4 - 6 yrs
Skills: - Solid knowledge of computer hardware and software, including operating systems, databases, network, application servers and services, middleware, peripherals and data warehouses - Experience with testing tools and testing best-practices with extensive application and enterprise operations support - Strong understanding of organizations goals and objectives and extensive business knowledge and keeps current on industry trends. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories in own discipline, and broad knowledge of principles and concepts of other functions - Experience with testing customer facing websites, online promotions and campaigns - Working knowledge of web, internet and dotcom technologies and platforms - Experience using HP Quality Center - Experience with QTP - Experience with and working knowledge of SDLCs and standard project roles and responsibilities - Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills - Experience with leading testing activities and test teams - Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a project team - Experience with coordinating an offshore QA team - Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment Skills: * QA - Tester Apply Below!
