About Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine
Ross University is a provider of medical and veterinary education, offering doctor of medicine and doctor of veterinary medicine degree programs. Overview:

Reporting to the School of Medicine Dean, the Senior Associate Dean of Student Affairs is responsible for all aspects of the student experience and will provide strategic direction for students during their Basic Science education and semesters 5-10 clinical clerkship rotations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Coordinates all services to students including advising, housing, and progress through medical school, medical school performance evaluations, residency selection, and counseling services.
* Staffs committees monitoring student progress and performance.
* Serves or designates sponsors for all student government related groups.
* Oversees key ceremonies including white coat, graduation, and orientation.
* Reviews and updates student handbook.
* Coordinates student financial aid.
* Provides administrative support to the admissions committee and admissions process.
* Responsible for tracking and reporting of student satisfaction.
* Organizes regular communication to and from students.
* Provides oversight of any purchased student services including internal services provided by Devry Medical International.
Qualifications:

* The successful candidate must possess a doctoral degree in higher education, education administration, student administration or equivalent area of study.
* At least 7 years of experience as an administrator/educator in Academic/Student Affairs in a North American medical school with senior-level administrative experience in student affairs; a demonstrated record of leadership, management, and resource development in a medical school
* Demonstrated transformational leadership skills and an ability to effectively manage organizational change; and, demonstrated working knowledge of issues related to student conduct and academic integrity.
* Possess exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
* Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equal opportunity and promotion of student engagement and learning; comprehensive knowledge of student development and current trends in student success.
* Critical skills include excellent communication abilities, interpersonal sensitivity, time management and prudent judgment.
