Fleishman-Hillard Inc., is seeking an experienced public relations professional to join our Miami/Latin America office. This position affords outstanding opportunity to impact the field(s) of technology, finance and government within the Latin American region.
The Managing Supervisor plays a pivotal role in winning and growing client relationships and focuses primarily on creating strategic public relations programs for clients and managing their successful implementation. The successful candidate will be an effective strategist, planner, writer and media relations practitioner with a successful track record in directing campaigns targeting national and regional business and financial media. In addition, the candidate will create budgets and forecasts, demonstrate an ability to work within budget and on deadline, and develop compelling proposals and present them persuasively to clients.
Responsibilities: * Counseling international clients in media relations, stakeholder relations, public relations and public affairs activity. * Act as client liaison to a group of accounts, manage and support program efforts to ensure client satisfaction. * Provide strategic counsel and execution in pan-regional and multi-country Latin America media relations and public relations campaigns. Qualifications:
* Minimum of seven years of experience managing, coordinating and executing media and public relations efforts in multiple countries in Latin America – in a corporate or agency position. * Experience in engaging with key editors, reports and opinion leaders at pan-regional Latin American news media is important. In-country experience is a plus. * Preference will be given to candidates who are technology communications specialists. * Experience with financial communications would also be valuable. * Government relations experience is a plus. * Excellent critical thinking, writing, editing and presentation skills. * Bachelor’s degree in journalism, PR, marketing, public affairs/policy or a related field. * Must be able to speak and write in English and Spanish (preferably mother tongue); working knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
