The casual dietitian works in conjunction with healthcare team members utilizing current knowledge and concepts of Medical Nutrition Therapy. Specialized services and education is provided as appropriate to the patient's, significant others and staff. Participates in departmental CQI program and staff in-services. Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition or Dietetics and completion of an approved undergraduate program or dietetic internship. Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association Commission on Dietetic Registration or be obtained within 6 months of employment. Must have State of Florida Dietitian / Nutritionist License or be obtained within 12 months of employment. Strong expertise and educational background in Nutrition, Diet Therapy and applied Nutrition Support. This position requires the following skills: proven excellent verbal/written communication, critical thinking and basic computer. Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital setting.
