Pharmacy Technician Part Time mixed shifts*
Description:
Following physicians' orders, the Pharmacy Tech assists pharmacists by filling routine orders for unit does and prepackaged pharmaceutical dispenses medications. Position tasks and responsibilities include:
Demonstrates good communications skills and is able to relate
effectively to hospital staff and other health care professionals.2. For
Certified Technician: Board Certification or a diploma from an
accredited program.3. Must have working knowledge of Automated
Dispensing system and be able to perform minor troubleshooting and
resetting of the system.4. Must be able to mix chemos if assigned to
IV room on regular basis.5. Must be able to act as a back-up
purchaser.
Qualifications:
High School or GED
State of Florida Registered Technician
Completion of a board approved Pharmacy technician training
program is required. High school graduate, with clerical and science
courses and a thorough technical background, is required. An
accredited vocational education as a certified pharmacy technician is
preferred.
One year minimum of hospital pharmacy experience in unit dose and
IV admixture. Chemo experience preferred. Basic knowledge of
