Operations Manager-Turbine/Operations/Maintenance
Power Generation client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Lead Plant Operator/Plant Supervisor with 5+ years of hands on operations & maintenance (O&M) experience on small gas turbines. You need experience working in a power plant or similar plant environment (process plant, LNG Terminal, etc...). Our client is looking for candidates that are local to the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area, but will consider helping relocate the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
-> Your primary responsibility will be to operate & maintain a small gas turbine power plant
-> This position requires that you work on call and live within 1 hour of the facility
-> Responsible for repairs and maintenance on all facility equipment
-> Responsible for all administrative duties regarding proper reporting of plant output & performance in a timely manner
Requirements:
-> 5+ years of O&M experience as a Technician or Operator in a power generation environment
-> You need specific O&M experience with mechanical equipment & systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, etc...)
-> Knowledge of the gas compression process (science & technology that it takes to clean the gas, pressurize it and send it to feed the gas turbines)
-> Ideal candidate has an understanding of Landfill Gas Plant, small steam turbine & desulfurizing plant (chemical plant) operations
-> Hands on experience with Solar Centaur gas turbines would be a PLUS
-> Any hands on maintenance experience with PLC's and electrical systems would be a big plus
-> You need an understanding of pumps, filters, how to change fluids, can change a seal, compressor maintenance, etc
