Job Summary: This is a FT position on day shift with benefits. Please visit our Career Center Home Page for more about our benefits. Job Requirements: Assists with organizing, directing, coordinating and supervising functions and activities to maintain the hospital environment in a sanitary and orderly conditions that complies with regulatory requirements. Selects, trains/orient, schedule and assign departmental associates. Assists with developing and recommending departmental operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget. Schedules and supervises environmental functions and activities. Develops, implements, and coordinates a comprehensive quality assurance program. Directs care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies/materials. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent, College degree desirable. * Special courses in environmental or institutional management, or equivalent experience. * Knowledge of hospital operation and specific kinds of housekeeping required for various departments. Thorough knowledge of housekeeping equipment,supplies/chemicals/agents. * Previous management/supervisory experience in a hospital or similar institution. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: * Extensive walking and standing.
