Job Summary:
Great leadership opportunity at a state-of-the-art facility with a strategic focus on Surgical Services! This hospital boasts Centers of Excellence that encompass Cardiothoracic, Orthopedic and Minimally Invasive surgical procedures. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this individual will plan, organize, direct and evaluate designated areas of nursing and patient services to assure optimum care and services are provided for patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Plan and implement Surgical Services initiatives Ensure compliance, quality and safety activities are ongoing Support the overall goals and directions of the organization Develop department strategic business plan (including operating expense and capital expenditure results and outcomes) Represent the division at organizational committees or task forces Effectively manage physician relations Supervise clinical staff
REQUIREMENTS: 10+ years of relevant nursing/clinical practice experience in surgical services 5+ years in a leadership/management role Bachelor's degree in relevant major, Master's preferred Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) strongly preferred Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses preferred
