.:: Essential Job Duties: Provides support services functions including but not limited to: The contractor will support the USSOUTHCOM J3 in the Joint Operations Center as a Joint Operations Center Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) COP operator. This support will be shift work. The contractor will be responsible for operating GCCS-J terminals using COP synchronization tools, software applications, and C2 Personal Computer gateways to manage the USSOUTHCOM COP. Contractor will direct theater joint track/data coordination and manage the theater-wide COP database, to support exercises and real world JTF operations and contingencies. Additionally the contractor will implement and evaluate COP operations, maintenance, and training procedures across multiple areas. Contractor will support COP Conferences and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) with theater component and USSOUTHCOM units to include: 1) supporting the daily operations of USSOUTHCOM JOC in its mission to provide oversight of Integrated C2 Systems to the USSOUTHCOM J3 and CDR 2) briefing support, 3) CDR Decision Cycle support, and 4) fusing/merging various data sources into one overall Common Operating Picture.
.:: Mental/Physical Requirements: Exceptional communication skills, poise and demeanor. Ability to work independently, under stress and complete short fuse requirements. Must be able to travel. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
.:: Education/Experience Requirements: Applicants should have prior relevant experience as COP Operator and working with the Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) system. Applicants should have experience working at service component or combatant commander level operations centers.
