Title: Client Advisor 4(HNW)R7/Ins - Boca and Palm Beach (M) Location: Florida-FL-Palm Beach-FL-Palm Beach-Royal Palm Way Office Manage a portfolio of approximately 50-100 clients primarily in the High Net Worth segment (defined as clients with total investable assets > $3MM or individual annual revenue $15K or greater). Proactively provides risk management, strategic asset allocation, and financial and multi-generational estate and financial planning for all clients. Offers an integrated mix of tax sensitive solutions, financial planning and investment management. Utilizes and introduces the comprehensive suite of Wealth Management financial solutions and products with particular focus on Alternative Investments, Capital Markets, Multi-generational Wealth Planning and complex Advisory Credit opportunities. Develops a client relationship plan for all clients as outlined in the defined service standards. Ensures that defined service standards for all client relationships are established and met. Maintains updated relationship history to support ongoing relationship expansion activities. Coordinates relationships with other SunTrust Banks Inc., (STI) product specialists, including investments, trust, mortgage, insurance, etc. using a team approach in delivering solutions to client's financial needs and to increase wallet share with assigned clients. Abides by SunTrust Banks Inc., (STI) client segment definitions by facilitating the migration of clients to the appropriate Client Advisor on the team as well as makes referrals of new business opportunities to the appropriate line of business to ensure clients are in the right delivery channel for their financial needs. Participates fully in all components of the line of business sales and relationship management process. These components normally include: attending strategy meetings, joint calling with team members and management, abiding by sales reporting guidelines, completing relationship plans and calling activity updates and sales call "debriefs". Acquires new clients through targeted prospecting and strong relationships with clients, referral sources, Centers of Influence and Wealth Strategists. Supports the team fully in cross-department referral goals and initiatives. Also attends all sales training courses necessary to be able to sell the full spectrum of products and services to clients. Maintains proper licenses including Series 7, Series 66, Insurance licenses and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or equivalent designations. Must obtain licenses within 12 months of assuming position and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or equivalent within 24 months of assuming position. Ensures that appropriate continuing education requirements are met where needed. Typically manages a portfolio of high-net-worth clients with total assets under management between $150MM and $500MM.
Manages a portfolio with revenue up to $3.0MM.
Minimum Requirements: Undergraduate degree with 4 years of sales and client management experience in the Wealth Services industry. Demonstrates excellent investment knowledge and the ability to discuss tax and financial planning issues with client including multi-generational estate planning concepts. Strong credit knowledge to work with Credit Advisor (s) to deliver medium to complex credit solutions. Possesses solid Deposit/General Banking knowledge to personally, or with support from appropriate specialists, deliver bank products such as deposits, credit cards, mortgages, etc to assigned clients. Superior knowledge of all wealth management products and services. Superior sales, client management, and client service skills with the ability to sell a wide range of products and services. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Well organized and flexible; able to adapt to change as well as determine and focus on top priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Preferred Requirements: MS Office software skills. Prior basic credit experience. Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CFP designation or equivalent.
