Title: Business Intelligence Consultant 3, IT Managed Care/Decision Supp, FT, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Location: Coral Gables Serve as technical lead with multiple BI efforts with no supervision required. Coordinating and delegating task within the group and train on the design management, implementation and ongoing operation of a comprehensive BI design. Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of designing and constructing of BI solutions, balancing optimization, tuning, and data access. Individual must be comfortable with rapid application development (RAD) techniques and with developing requirements and design specifications for new and existing data models. Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with end-users, managers, clients and other stakeholders. Assist with selection of hardware and software products for the BI architecture. Spearheads development of logical and physical data models, and ETL development. The Business intelligence is also responsible for ensuring high levels of BI availability through support function; design of data structures and in depth testing. Strong project management skills and experience in all stages of development life cycle required. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with ability to learn new concepts and job requirements quickly. In-depth knowledge of information system implementation life cycle with extensive analytical and system design skills .Solid project management skills in planning and monitoring small to large project in a cross-functional environment. Five to seven years of experience as a Business Intelligence Administrator and Developer. Candidate must posses experience with hardware, software and processes associated with business intelligence architect and data warehouse methodologies. Develops, monitors and designs of data structures to support effective business intelligence reporting for all Data Warehouse solutions. Keeps current with the latest version of BI software, upgrades, techniques and implements best practices. Administer the BI tools, support end-user, train end-users to improve overall performance of reports.
Four years of experience in IT with knowledge of relational database management (RDBMS), Data Warehouse Architecture and Business Intelligence. Develops and managed the data structures required to support the enterprise through the BI tool. Experience in at least one of the following areas is essential; - Design, code, extract, manipulate, and load into a data model/data warehouse - Administer the DSS tools from tuning/performance prospective. - Develop and generate standard and ad-hoc reporting, metadata, and report definition from both data warehouse and non data warehouse - Data analysis and document all new or modified BI systems - Design and deliver end-user training and training materials
